Blackwater, aka Blackwater OG, is an indica-dominant hybrid marijuana strain (cultivar) from Cali Connection made by crossing Mendo Purps (also called Mendocino Purp and Mendocino Purple) with San Fernando Valley OG Kush (also SFV OG Kush or OG Kush). Blackwater’s THC content is a potent 20%, while CBD levels rarely exceed 1%.
Blackwater has chunky buds and densely packed leaves when properly cured. Its high resin production creates these large solid nugs, contributing to the strain’s top-shelf “bag appeal.” The flowers appear dark green with purple accents, emitting a sweet grape aroma to complement the hue inherited from Mendocino Purple.
