503 Wifi

Grown from a cut of White Fire OG, 503 Wifi is a rare sativa-dominant strain (cultivar) with a very high approximate tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) content of 24% and a cannabigerol (CBG) content of 1%. Descriptions of 503 Wifi’s effects include euphoric, energetic, and focused, and it is often reported to produce a very balanced high. 503 Wifi has been described as having a “flowery” taste and could help manage acute and chronic pain, stress, depression, chronic fatigue, appetite loss, nausea, and ADHD.

It gets its name from parents and the Portland area code 503, which is particularly popular. With its dense barrel-like buds, 503 Wifi appeals to growers and consumers alike.

The creation of 503 Wifi began when the team at OG Raskal Seeds created the potent white fire og strain (AKA Wifi). By dusting a female Fire OG plant with a male clone of The White strain, they enhanced the resulting strain’s aroma and potency. A cutting of a particularly delightful bud of White Fire OG was taken and cultivated independently, giving rise to 503 Wifi.

The 503 Wifi strain has a high potency that can knock even experienced users out flat. It reportedly has a fast and hard high that hits you immediately after smoking, leading to cerebral effects, lifting your mood, and elevating your spirit as your worries fall away.  Next, users report that the high may become “heady,” making them sleepy or sedated. Then it reportedly becomes a more body-based high, bringing feelings of “couch lock” and extreme relaxation.

Many users report 503 Wifi as a perfect all-around strain with multiple applications – it can be consumed during the day or at night.

Medical Applications

Many of the therapeutic benefits of 503 Wifi may be due to cannabis’ ability to modulate serotonin transmission and increase the amount of anandamide available in the body.

Chronic Pain, Muscle Pain and Other Types of Pain

Cannabis contains anti-inflammatory and analgesic compounds that can help reduce or distract from pain, including THC, CBD, and beta-caryophyllene.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder/Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD/ADD)

Utilizing CBD and other phytocannabinoids and terpenes in cannabis may help replace the lost endocannabinoids, helping treat pain and mood disorders associated with NF1 gene mutations. Using THC may help boost dopamine levels in the brain.

Medical cannabis may also help reduce the intake of stimulant medications. Terpenes like beta-caryophyllene and limonene may be beneficial for reducing the intake of stimulants and addiction in general.

Depression

Cannabinoids like CBD can help modulate serotonin transmission, giving it anti-depressant and anxiolytic effects.
