How to qualify for a mmj card in Illinois
When you apply for the Illinois medical card, you must enroll in the Illinois Medical Cannabis Patient Program (MCPP). Patients must be at least 18 years old to qualify, and those younger (under 18) must appoint a caregiver (over 21) who can access cannabis on their behalf. The Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Program Act states that qualifying patients must be diagnosed with a "debilitating condition" to be eligible for a medical cannabis registry identification card in Illinois.
