Dr. Mark Kasabuski

Dr. Kasabuski is the Provider Operations Manager at Leafwell and a doctor of pharmacy. He earned his PharmD from the University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy in 2007.

He has a Pharm. D. degree, immunization certification, medical use of marijuana practitioner certification, and has been a licensed pharmacist in Connecticut, New York, and Pennsylvania. Directly out of pharmacy school, Mark became a pharmacy manager for CVS. Over the course of the next 10 years, Mark managed multiple stores while being named to their “Pre-Emerging Leaders” program. In 2010, he won the CVS Paragon Award for pharmacist of the year in Connecticut.

In 2017, he moved to New York City and began working for a startup digital pharmacy called Capsule. During this time, he saw the business grow towards a 1 billion dollar valuation as their Pharmacy Dispensing Operations Manager. Mark left Capsule in February of 2019 to begin his dream of getting into the cannabis space. He helped open Fp Wellness as one of the first of four medical cannabis dispensaries in New York City as their General Manager and Lead Pharmacist. During his time there, he was able to grow the business while speaking to thousands of patients- helping educate them about the medical cannabis program and building out treatment plans based off of their consultations. In January 2023, Mark joined Leafwell as their Provider Operations Manager. Here he helps educate and lead the provider team of the largest medical cannabis telehealth platform in the United States.

“Cannabis is always something I believed should be an option for everyone. I saw the rise of the opioid epidemic, the overprescribing of benzodiazepines, and sleep medications first hand. Cannabis didn’t have to be a first line therapy for people but it needed to be a line. It’s a safer alternative for so many people whose lives have been negatively impacted through what we were dispensing. I knew I wanted to get involved in the cannabis space and since I have, it’s been the most soul rewarding job you could ask for as a pharmacist. I never see myself leaving this industry.”
