    What to Expect as a Backend Developer at Leafwell

    As a Backend Developer at Leafwell, you will be primarily responsible for new development and maintenance of existing applications. You will  work closely with other engineering teams to deliver seamless solutions.  

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

    The Backend Developer will perform and should have experience in the following:

    • Design and develop back-end components of web and mobile applications
    • Identify and fix bottlenecks and bugs in existing applications
    • Integrate user-facing elements designed by front-end team
    • Connect applications with additional web servers and maintain APIs
    • Integrate data storage solutions like MySQL and PostgreSQL
    • Write and maintain unit and integration tests using Rspec

    What to Expect as a Data Engineer at Leafwell

    As a Data Engineer at Leafwell, you will be in charge of creating and orchestrating the Leafwell data pipeline, which means gathering data, creating & automating data transformations and producing actionable insights for Leafwell’s internal stakeholders. You will support critical testing and rollout of new data features. The Data Engineer will build and maintain systems that inform Leafwell’s business stakeholders about Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and suggest data-driven strategies to optimize those metrics. 

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    The Data Engineer will perform the following responsibilities:

    • Acquire, assemble, transform and analyze data
    • Create, manage and orchestrate the data pipeline and it’s infrastructure
    • Present findings, trends, and suggested optimizations
    • Identify new opportunities and threats to the company's business model
    • Update and revise reports, queries, and analytic procedures as necessary
    • Design and implement tracking so that optimization efforts can be measured

    As an Accountant at Leafwell, you will play a vital role within the organization, providing service to numerous lines of business within the company. You will be a key member of the financial team and be responsible for the accounting operations of the company. 

    As a Leafwell Accountant, you can expect to be in charge of the production of periodic financial reports, as well as maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk. You will help enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results, ensure the completion of balance sheet reconciliations, and verify that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.

    Day-To-Day Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    The Accountant will perform the following responsibilities:

    • Issue timely and complete GAAP compliant, accrual-based financial statements
    • Prepare all balance sheet account reconciliations by the end of each subsequent month.
    • Develop a documented system of accounting policies and procedures, maintaining a system of controls over accounting transactions.
    • Manage daily cash reporting process, providing details on incoming and outgoing cash for all accounts as well as past trends and forecasts. 
    • Ensure that bank reconciliations are completed in a timely manner.
    • Develop/manage accounts payable processes. 
    • Coordinate AP process with daily cash analysis and ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner

    As a Growth Marketing Manager at Leafwell, you will be responsible for overseeing paid user acquisition across Facebook, Instagram, Google UAC, Apple Search, and influencer channels, and ongoing testing of various targeted direct sources. You will manage our digital media buying agency, directly manage our B2B media buying activities, and you will report to the Chief Marketing Officer.     The Growth Marketing Manager will perform the following responsibilities:

    • Oversee and direct our digital media agency partner and scale profitable user acquisition strategies and campaigns across a broad portfolio of paid new user acquisition sources and platforms.

    As a Leafwell Product Manager on the Data Team, you will report to the Chief Product Officer. You will lead a data team of 3 full time employees, 2 contractors, and variable part-time contributors.     The Product Manager - Data will perform the following responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute a data product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on user needs, market trends, and company objectives
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and designers, to create intuitive and impactful data-driven products
    • Utilize JIRA for project management and issue tracking, ensuring that tasks are clearly defined, prioritized, and executed on schedule
    • Leverage Metabase and data team to create interactive and visually appealing data dashboards that facilitate data-driven decision-making
